Ask your Gulf Winds recruiter for the current amounts, as they change monthly * Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight * Settlement paid weekly / direct deposit available Highlights: * Run under Gulf Winds authority * Fuel discount program * Get 40-60 cents off pump price * Private Gulf Winds Chassis (owns 2,900) * Average age of chassis is less than 6 years old * Best in class driver retention * Best in class equipment: LEDs, radial tires, tire inflation systems * Free parking * Consistent, year-round freight * 24/7 Dispatch * Pre-dispatch Daily * No forced dispatch * Tire discounts available Home Time, Route and Schedule * Home daily with one 2-day run per week * Routes: local and regional, out and back from Savannah * Level of touch: 75% drop and pick/hook Equipment Requirements * Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection Qualifications * Must have a valid CDL A License * Minimum 21 years of age * Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years * TWIC/HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities * No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months. * No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months * Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years * Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years * Must live within 60 Miles of Savannah, GA As a full-service, third-party logistics provider, our Owner Operators enjoy consistent and steady work as partners with the largest container drayage provider on the Gulf Coast.
