About:

A growth equity backed, CPG company is looking for a motivated and collaborative Finance professional to join their dynamic, high-growth company. You will be a key member of a small Finance team and will report directly to the CFO.


The Strategic Finance & Business Operations Associate will provide analytical and financial support to drive business strategy and optimize decision making across all business units. This is a high impact role and you will have a significant opportunity to run with projects and help drive key business decisions by providing financial support to the leadership team.


What you’ll do:

  • Continue to develop and enhance the company’s corporate financial model by working with the various business units to analyze and understand key drivers
  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecast and reporting, both internal and external; Support the accounting team with the month end financial close process
  • Assist in developing materials for internal use and external parties such as customers, investors, and the Board of Directors
  • Design and improve reporting and processes where needed
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Work with business units to provide analytical and strategic support for decision-making
  • Analyze and synthesize complex business data and financial information into actionable insights
  • Lead or assist with special projects as requested and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows


Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience required
  • Experience in a Finance, Investment Banking, or a Strategic Planning role inside of a CPG company a plus
  • Analytical and modeling skills, experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts preferred
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly driven and proactive
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and collaborate across departments and levels
