Job Summary:

As an Oracle KVM Virtualization Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing virtualization solutions using Oracle KVM technology. Your role will involve optimizing the performance, reliability, and scalability of our virtualized environments, ensuring they meet the business requirements and industry best practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, deploy, and maintain Oracle KVM virtualization environments.
  • Configure and manage virtual machines, storage, and network resources within the Oracle KVM framework.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization infrastructure and virtual machines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate virtualization solutions with other IT systems.
  • Develop and implement best practices and procedures for virtualization management and security.
  • Document system configurations, changes, and procedures for reference and compliance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to virtualization and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:


  • Certifications: Oracle certified Specialist - Oracle Linux 8 System Admin or Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Oracle KVM virtualization technology and related tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces.
  • Experience with virtualization management tools, storage solutions, and network configurations.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar.
  • Experience with other virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
