Background Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
  • 5+ years metals exp
  • 3+ years metallurgist exp


Job Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibility for MF Refractory repairs and relines.
  • Primary Responsibility for Maintenance/Engineering Liaison for non-AR level Melt and RMSB repairs and projects.
  • Assist Melt Supervisor with RMSB charge coordination, raw materials inventory, chemistry control and corrections, and Melt process, as required / in Melt Manager’s absence (Melt Manager is Primary).
  • Maintain melt webpage with required communications to operate the plant on a 24 hr basis.
  • Write, review, and update all procedures/work instructions and forms in ISO 9000 QC system and Melt Intranet for the melting of all alloys.
  • Actively participate in the quality process including resolution of CARS.
