Leadership may adjust in-office work requirements with a minimum of three months' notice before any change can be implemented.The Senior Grant Business System Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the University of Colorado's post-award research administration through a deep understanding of and hands-on experience with both the PeopleSoft Grants suite and the InfoEd electronic research administration platform. This position is responsible for identifying and implementing technology solutions that align with institutional research goals, campus-specific strategies, and compliance requirements. Leveraging dual-system expertise, the analyst will analyze, design, configure, and test PeopleSoft Grants modules, while also supporting and optimizing InfoEd applications. A key responsibility is ensuring smooth integration and data flow between PeopleSoft and InfoEd systems, enabling accurate reporting and efficient workflow management.The ideal candidate will have the versatility to translate complex business requirements from all four University of Colorado campuses into effective solutions. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Grants IT Services and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff System. Remote - this role is eligible to work remotely within Colorado. We are committed to creating a workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:Serve as the functional and technical data model expert for both PeopleSoft Grants systems, and InfoEd systems supporting core pre-award and post-award research administration activities across all CU campuses.Act as product manager for custom CU-developed applications that extend or integrate InfoEd and PeopleSoft functionality.Provide advanced support, manage and optimize CU custom integrations between InfoEd and PeopleSoft, including award setup automation and synchronization projects to reduce administrative burden and increase data accuracy.Lead or contribute to strategic, cross-campus initiatives that align InfoEd and PeopleSoft Grants data models, including the development of reusable integration frameworks, unified reporting data models and automation tools.Work with campus stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document functional and technical specifications, analyze existing solutions, and design system configurations, customizations, bolt-on or feature enhancements to meet campus business objectives.Use in-depth system knowledge of the PeopleSoft Financials Grants suite and InfoEd modules to meet campus-specific needs while maintaining overall system integrity and compliance with federal, state, and sponsor regulations.Operate with a high level of autonomy and subject matter expertise in both PeopleSoft Grants and InfoEd systems. Proactively identify and resolve intricate system issues, design solutions with minimal supervision, and provide expert-level end user training to support campus needs.Develop queries and reports to support campuses in managing post-award business process.Perform technical data analysis.Identify the technical requirements and leverage data models.Develop, design and maintain queries and reports using data from InfoEd, PeopleSoft Grants, and other data sources.Maintain data queries, views, and reports using SQL and PS Query and PS Report Developer and leverage views to support integrations between systems and COGNOS reporting.Ensure timely and effective resolution of Grants-related support tickets across both PeopleSoft and InfoEd systems by accurately logging issues, updating and communicating ticket status, and closing requests with thorough documentation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system-specific issues, validate resolutions, and support continuous improvement of the ticket management process.Develop test plans and regression testing for PeopleSoft PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) upgrades and InfoEd system enhancements. Ensure that new functionality, patches, and configurations in both systems perform as expected without disrupting existing business processes. (Professional work experience gained during graduate studies accepted. If part-time, it will be pro-rated based on hours worked per week.)3 years of experience with the following:At least 3 of the following modules: General Ledger, Project (Costing), Grants, Customer Contracts, Billing, or Accounts Receivable; andPlanning and conducting customer-facing meetings that include performing analysis, gathering requirements, and creating functional designs and solution options; andProviding end-user support and training; andData analysis and writing SQL queries to retrieve data from enterprise systems using a tool such as TOAD or SQL Developer.1 year of experience with the following:InfoEd or similar Pre-award applications data models, especially proposal and award tracking modules; andPeopleSoft upgrades and PUM/Selective adoption cycles that include creating and executing test plans; andIn public sector business processes, in particular finance and/or grants-related business processes.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
