This office also supplies wellness programs, support groups, and workshops.Note: Grant positions are not eligible for retirement benefits.Job SummaryThe Grant Service Specialist I will carry out tasks for the Supervisor, MCH Bureau leadership, coordinators and support the work mortality review. The role requires efficient management of communication, scheduling, procurement, and various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the bureau.Essential FunctionsProvide office support to the Supervisor and MCH Bureau leadership and coordinators by assisting with various administrative tasks and supporting the work of mortality review.Answer, manage, and address phone inquiries and electronic communication regarding Maternal and Child Health and other City resources.Schedule meetings and conference calls, reserve conference rooms, and maintain the MCH conference room and general work area as needed.Assist with preparing documents for contracts and monitoring expenditures.Prepare and create Workday procurement requests.Complete projects assigned by the Supervisor and MCH Bureau leadership staff.Confirm the accuracy of items ordered, coordinate deliveries, and assist with packaging outreach materials for events and external partners.Assist with inventory and storage room areas, ensuring organization and accessibility.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.ANDExperience: Have three years of experience performing office support and administrative tasks.Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience and two years of professional-level office experience.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite software programs at an intermediate level.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Must have excellent customer service skills.Additional InformationBackground Check: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a criminal background check and/or fingerprint screening and must be successfully completed.Probation: All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a 6-month mandatory probation.Baltimore City Government is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, and we are committed to a workplace that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
