IV-Search are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Safety Engineer to join our clients growing team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will play a critical role in testing and evaluating electrical products to ensure they comply with all relevant safety regulations before they reach the market.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans to evaluate electrical products against national and international safety standards (UL, IEC, etc.).
  • Conduct electrical hazard assessments of products to identify potential risks.
  • Perform a variety of electrical safety tests in the lab.
  • Analyze test data and identify potential safety issues..
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical safety standards and testing methodologies.
  • Prepare and maintain electrical safety test reports and documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working in a 3rd party electrical safety lab or equivalent experience gained through a product manufacturer.
  • Experience with relevant electrical safety standards (UL, IEC, etc.) is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
