Guided by the values of the company, the GA Site Manufacturing Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and operation of all functions and facilities of ADAMA in Tifton and Ocilla, Georgia. Specific areas of responsibility include production, packaging, logistics, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, quality control, finance, customer service, HR, EHS and maintenance operations. This role is accountable for the development and achievement of monthly, annual and long-term strategic plans as well as continuous improvement initiatives related to people/team development, safety, quality, cost, working capital, waste, and environmental management. Responsible for 100+ employees across a multi-shift and multi-site operation.

Fundamental Areas of Focus:


  • Ensure the safety of our production employees by promoting our safety culture, holding all people on site accountable to safety standards and ensuring that no aspect of the operation is treated as more important that safety.
  • Oversee the effective management of all departments in relationship to the departments’ output performance, quality performance, yields performance, resources and capacities management, inventory control, ESH, work plans and strategic financial plans and projects management.
  • Oversee the responsibility for managing multi-shift production operations to meet delivery schedules at the optimum level of productivity and quality.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, targets, and goals and ensure direct reports have appropriate information and resources needed to be accountable for results.
  • Manage, coach and develop team in setting and achieving operating, customer satisfaction and people development goals.
  • Inspires people, leads by example, and creates a culture of high performance by providing on-going and actionable performance-based feedback.
  • Own the Continuous Improvement process. Champion the expanded use of technology, lean principles, and people development to improve supply chain results.
  • Partner with the Global Manufacturing Team to support global manufacturing initiatives.
  • Proactively lead planning, justification, approval, and execution for investments in new facilities, equipment, systems, organizational designs and layout changes.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain team colleagues, internal and external customers to successfully deliver business initiatives.
  • Create and/or enhance strategic relationships with vendors to reduce cost and working capital investment, ensure business continuity, improve quality, and reduce lead times.
  • Build effective relationships with all local, state and regional regulating institutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and organizational capacity building programs to drive maximum quality and safety and to achieve the lowest total delivered costs.
  • Oversee and maintain proper employment levels for our seasonal business through selecting, interviewing, and training of personnel.

Specific Skills and Knowledge:

  • Full understanding of product costing as it relates to component and manufacturing process selection.
  • Ability to drive set KPI’s and drive manufacturing excellence
  • Accomplished team leader and coach with history of helping others achieve their potential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key supply chain processes including planning, production, logistics, and quality management.
  • Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of financial data, measurements and planning.
  • Proven success using metrics, productivity tracking and data collection systems to drive measurable continuous performance improvement.
  • Adept at translating detailed information and personal observations into fact-based performance enhancing recommendations and effectively gaining management buy in.
  • “Bridge-builder” mentality with ability to partner cross-functionally to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Lean and Kaizen techniques a plus.



Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Senior management experience in supply chain management functions (multiple areas preferred) with at least 7 years in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Significant chemistry, engineering or manufacturing background is essential.
  • Experience driving formal Lean/Continuous Improvement programs required.
  • Six Sigma/Lean Certification preferred.
