Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance OfficerPrestigious Austin-based private equity firm, focusing on investing in and growing lower-middle market companies is seeking a Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance Officer. This role will be to manage and direct the Firm's accounting, banking, investor relations (Limited Partners) and SEC compliance areas. This position will supervise and work with the Vice President of Administration, with the day-to-day operations of the Firm and its management and portfolio companies.Job Responsibilities:Prepares quarterly financial statements for all funds and management companies in accordance with GAAPProvide management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization which will include portfolio companiesManage banking relationshipsManage the preparations for annual audits for all fundsMaintains system of Internal Accounting Controls related to cash management, to include bank reconciliations, wire transfers, etc.Uses accounting and fund reporting software to maintain records and prepare internal and external reports (Limited Partners and Management Team)Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing other financial related tasks, as neededQualifications/Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDetail oriented and highly organizedSkilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasksExcellent critical thinking skillsPossesses upstanding character traits and work ethics, including sound judgement, honesty, dependability, loyalty, and disciplineSolid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulationsEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (master's preferred)Previous experience with a Private Equity firm a plusAt least 15 years' experience in accountingExperience using QuickbooksExperience using SS&C Intralinks InvestorVision a plusCPA or CMA preferred
