Description

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our Nevada practice in a regional role encompassing our Nevada practice. Behavioral Health Solution's (BHS) team of mental health treatment professionals specialized in providing comprehensive behavioral health services for adults and geriatrics in a variety of settings. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conducts psychiatric examinations
  • Makes diagnoses and prescribes therapy
  • Administers and interprets projective tests
  • Participates in staff conferences and recommends appropriate treatment approaches
  • Assists in developing and organizing a program of clinic treatment
  • Directs case conferences. Serves as a consultant to other clinic staff
  • Confers with patients regarding illness and treatment
  • Assists through consultation in establishing psychiatric programs and policies
  • Keeps medical records and prepares psychiatric reports
  • Completes other duties as assigned


Service areas incorporate

  • HQ is located in Henderson, NV
  • Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Rural Nevada


Job Types

  • Full-time, in-person, some travel required (30% estimate)


Requirements

  • Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility are required
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
  • Licensure as a physician in the applicable state
  • Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license may be required


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures
  • Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action
  • Ability to prepare records and reports
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality

Pay

  • Starting at $300,000.00 per year
