Deal Management PositionDeal Management contributes to Cardinal Health by developing, communicating, and leading the execution of market strategy and profitability optimization through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. The group uses modeling, analytics, and econometrics to create pricing strategies for our products and services. Deal Management owns the entire pre-deal process, including collaborating with sales to translate offer strategy into a customer-specific deal strategy and pricing, facilitating the deal approval process and related governance, and financial modeling of deal economics across a variety of scenarios. This job family is also responsible for validating our contracts have the appropriate terms and conditions prior to finalizing the relationship.Responsibilities include:Collaborate effectively across functions in Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance to develop pricing and incentive strategies and models, in response to customer RFP and other proposal requests.Extract, manipulate, and prepare data and information from multiple sources and leverage findings to develop and recommend pricing strategies.Effectively communicate data, information, and findings on market pricing intelligence, pricing analytics and pricing recommendations to the Marketing and Sales teams.Create financial models, applying pricing analytics and other financial components related to the deal.Communicate with Senior Leadership to facilitate questions and discussions related to the deal models to gain approval.Communicate key pricing and incentive insights and recommendations, while driving consensus and being comfortable when challenged.Understanding product and category strategy, financial objectives, and pricing expectations.Ability to grasp economic concepts (especially P&L statements), commercial processes, systems, and controls.Managing the execution of a variety of price initiatives and ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business opportunities.Qualifications include:3+ years experience in deal management or strategic pricingBachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferredStrong data analysis skills with the ability to navigate and/or learn new systems and processes quickly (Excel, Tableau, SQL, SFDC, Business Objects)What is expected of you and others at this level includes:Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projectsMay contribute to the development of policies and proceduresWorks on complex projects of large scopeDevelops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsSolutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectivesCompletes work; independently receives general guidance on new projectsWork reviewed for purpose of meeting objectivesMay act as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated salary range: $80,900 - $103,950Benefits include:Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 3/6/2025If interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
