Technology and Cyber Risk Manager

Manager, Technology & Cyber Risk Join our team as a vital member of the Tech Risk Guides (TRG) at Capital One, where we are looking for passionate tech and cyber risk management professionals. As part of the ES Business Risk team, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and managing our technology risk profile, ensuring that different lines of business are effectively supported and risks are minimized. What You'll Do: Act as a Tech Risk Guide for various lines of business, such as Global Workspace Service, Enterprise Supplier Management, Brand, and more. Foster strong relationships within your line of business to understand the impact of technology risk on essential processes. Conduct comprehensive risk reviews throughout different processes (e.g., Risk Control and Self Assessments, Process Level Assessments) and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Influence key stakeholders, including leaders in the lines of business, Business Risk Offices, Compliance, Cyber Security, and Internal Audit, on critical technology risks and necessary actions. Lead periodic risk reviews with executives and support the reporting of technology risk metrics. Perform in-depth risk analysis and investigations to enhance our overall risk management strategy. Collaborate with technology leaders to ensure effective management of technical KRI/KPIs. Design and support internal risk and control governance processes. Implement continuous improvements to our tech risk program in line with industry standards and best practices. Contribute innovative ideas to support the Enterprise Services Risk (ESR) and Business Risk organization. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Military experience. A minimum of 3 years of tech and cyber risk management experience. At least 2 years of Project Management experience. Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives for at least 2 years. Preferred Qualifications: Over 5 years of tech and cyber risk management experience, particularly in leading cross-functional risk management projects within public cloud environments. Experience managing risks, governance, and controls associated with technology, digital products, and solutions for 1+ years. Familiarity with Risk Management frameworks, reporting, and metrics in public cloud settings for 1+ years. CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM or other relevant Industry Risk Professional Certifications. Please note that the salary range for this role is as follows: McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800; Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400; Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
