This position involves providing high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will play a critical role in the management of patients requiring respiratory support across various critical care settings, including CVICU, NCCU, LRICU (ECMO), MICU, MSICU, and Adult ED. Location: 7700 Floyd Curl Dr, San Antonio, TX 78229 Shift: 06:30 AM - 07:00 PM Key Responsibilities: - Deliver respiratory therapy interventions including nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP management, and ventilator therapy. - Utilize advanced equipment such as GE Carescape R860 ventilator, Covidien PB980 ventilator, Avea Ventilator, and more. - Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) analyses and administer High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) treatments. - Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech EMR system. - Participate in assigned weekend shifts and be available for on-call duties as needed. Qualifications: - Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. - Valid Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. - Preferred candidates will have 6 months to 1 year of ICU experience. Personality Traits: A successful candidate will be a team player, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team. Patient Ratios: - Responsible for managing 30-45 units of therapy per shift. Dress Code: - Olive/sage scrub top and black scrub bottom (all black acceptable). Floating Requirements: - Willingness to float to pediatric units as needed. General Comments: - One position available with guaranteed hours. The contract spans 91 weeks.
