In this position you will work as a member of Idiada Automotive Technology's mechanical and preparation department supporting vehicle dynamic safety tests. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for safety testing in multiple test areas within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Support vehicle crash preparation and post-test activities
• Install and verify equipment as required for vehicle tests, including electronic sensors, equipment racks, camera stands, ballast weight and other test equipment.
• Perform vehicle measurement documentation.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Perform vehicle teardown and rebuild
• Delegate daily tasks to team members.
• Support the test teams in the set up and execution of tests.
• Maintain all work area documentation including note logs, check sheets and part inventory.
• Help to identify and implement new tools, methods or processes to improve quality, efficiency and timing.
• Maintain and operate a safe, clean and organized working environment.

• High School Diploma; two-year technical degree or 2 or more years of auto service and mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to use Outlook, Excel, and Word, and other MS Office applications.
• High level of initiative and proactive approach.
  
  

Job Functions:

• Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license.
• Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices.
