About this Position:Job Title: Principal EngineerResponsibilities:Demonstrates advanced engineering expertise with strong analytical, diagnostic, and quality-control capabilities.Leads technical teams and provides high-level guidance for critical engineering decisions.Communicates expert findings clearly through strong written and verbal skills.Serves as senior engineering authority for complex studies, system assessments, and technical analyses.Provides expert evaluations on energy systems, building systems, water/utility infrastructure, and environmental designs.Oversees advanced engineering calculations, modeling, validations, and development of technical briefs, white papers, and risk assessments.Reviews engineering drawings, specifications, and standards updates to ensure compliance with safety codes and best practices.Supports sustainability tasks such as LEED/Envision assessments and commissioning documentation reviews.Advises on Work Orders related to energy efficiency, HVAC/MEP systems, on-site generation, solar, battery storage, and resilience engineering.Provides high-level technical support for capital projects and infrastructure modernization programs.Performs QA/QC and peer reviews to validate assumptions, verify calculations, and improve system performance and reliability.Collaborates with engineers, planners, energy managers, and consultants while leading technical discussions and supporting interdisciplinary teams.Required Skills:Devises tests to evaluate and check systems.Performs and documents the results of complex analyses and design tasks.Designs complex systems and acts as a project manager.Supervises Engineering positions and interacts with client and company leadership.Master's Degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience.Demonstrated senior-level expertise in engineering design, analysis, and technical review.Proficiency reviewing engineering documents, technical calculations, drawings, and specifications.Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in complex technical environments."No phone calls please."
