Senior Family Law Attorney (Remote or Hybrid in San Francisco Bay Area)


Responsibilities:

  • Complete strategy meetings with clients at the inception of representation by the firm;
  • Advise clients on their legal options in determining the course of litigation and/or settlement;
  • Review and respond to correspondence from clients and opposing counsel;
  • Prepare trial briefs for clients.
  • Prepare case strategy and case strategy team oversight while giving direction on all complex cases, including cases set for long cause hearings;
  • Represent clients in litigation at various hearings;
  • Sit first chair in Trials, as needed;


Requirements:

  • Licensed by the California State Bar;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in family law is required;
  • Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) Preferred;
  • Extensive experience in high-net-worth divorce;
  • Courtroom experience, completed trial advocacy class/programs, and/or participated in trial competitions;
  • Strong legal research and writing skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations;
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;

The Zhou Law Group is seeking experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated senior attorneys in family law to join our team. The Zhou Law Group is one of the largest family law firms with top-rated divorce lawyers and an accomplished support team in San Jose and Los Angeles. The Zhou Law Group provides legal services on family issues relating to divorce, same-sex divorce, child custody, child support, spousal alimony, property division, domestic violence, and prenuptial & postnuptial agreements.


The Zhou Law Group represents a new wave of young, innovative law firms. As an expanding California-based firm specializing in family law, our team comprises Certified Family Law Specialists, experienced attorneys and support staff, each with a minimum of five years in the practice of California family law. The Zhou Law Group APC offers remote, hybrid, and in-office positions, and has the technology and resources available to ensure that every employee, regardless of their location, is supported in doing their best work and meeting the demands of their cases. Since we have several remote and hybrid employees, our in-office administrative staff is imperative to the efficient operations of the firm.

Paralegals will be assigned to an attorney, and these attorney/paralegal teams will be assigned to their respective cases. These teams will be responsible for handling all aspects of the case from initiation to final Judgment. Additional team members may be made available for particularly complex and burdensome matters.

Our client base is comprised primarily of Chinese immigrants, and a knowledge of, or willingness to adapt to, the needs and expectations of our particular clientele is required.
