Job Description Supports resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. As an Engineering Tech III, you will: Perform and lead engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management. Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of MEP systems following resort guidelines. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC and mechanical components. Diagnose plumbing fixtures, handle clogs, and conduct repairs and equipment replacements. Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, such as breakers and contactors. Repair and troubleshoot appliances and household fixtures. Install, repair, and replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as needed. Lead small construction projects, including drywall, carpentry, concrete, and flooring. Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and maintenance of all MEP equipment. Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work. Proficient in operating resort operations software and devices (HotSOS and other applicable systems). Read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and OEM manuals. Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions. Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management. Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools needed for the job. Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Lead and implement safety practices and guidelines. Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property. Communicate and interpret guest needs with positive interactions to reach resolutions. Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures. Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior. Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership. Work Ethic - Taking pride in your work. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort. Written and verbal communication in English is expected. Demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, with attention to detail. Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues. Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. Regularly, the team member must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.
