Lead Underground Geologist

CSG Talent are partnering with a one of our major clients. We are seeking a Lead Underground Geologist for a 2/2 roster. You'll play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction and management of all geological activity within the mine. The role shall direct, lead and control the activities of ore control, mining geology and geotechnical.Responsibilities:Accountable for all mine geology and ore control activities in support of mine operations including but not limited to mapping, drilling, sampling, ore control, databases, models, and reconciliationAccountable for all reserve databases, models, and reserve reportingLead and supervise all geology and geotechnical related work in the mine area, providing training, instruction and supervision as it relates to regulatory and geology requirementsWork collaboratively with other functional areas including mine engineering, mining operations, processing and service departments, to achieve successful outcomesProvide accurate and timely information to key stakeholdersEngage in and have a mindset of continuous improvement with all related activities to minimize wastage and maximize return on investment.Qualifications:A Bachelor of Geology degreeRegistered as a PGO (Desirable)G Class Driver's License (Required)15+ years of experience in underground mine geology operationsStrong experience in geological resource modellingStrong experience in ore control, preferably RC drillingAbility to design and implement ore control and resource modelling systemsExposure to project coordination and ability to make sound project decisions.If the above is of interest and applicable to you, please contact me on to register interest for a confidential discussion.
