School Nurse (LPN) AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that is available for the 2024/2025 school year Requirements Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment, including experience maintaining accurate records Preferred experience with children and familiarity with procedures such as diabetic care, gtube feeds, catheterizations PA LPN license required Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Requires first aid and CPR certification. Job Description: Contract through the 2024/2025 school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week Contract follows the academic district calendar Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School Key Responsibilities: Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to students and staff members as needed. Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions. Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies. Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students. Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource for school health policies and procedures. Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services. Salary: $1500-1650 per week Why choose AB Staffing?
