NursePractitioner Job Summary

We are looking for anexperienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join ourgrowing staff. You will provide direct patient care, discussingpatient symptoms and concerns and performing thorough examinationsto diagnose their medical problem and prescribe medication orcreate a treatment plan if necessary. When required, you willcollaborate with our physicians to treat for more advancedillnesses or injuries. Our ideal candidate has a current statelicense to practice and at least five years of medicalexperience.

Nurse Practitioner Duties andResponsibilities
Facilitate new patient consultation andhealth history review
Perform physical examinations andscreenings of patients
Order and administer testsincluding bloodwork
Review and interpret test results todiagnose health problems
Recommend further treatmentoptions or future appointments if needed
Providereferrals to other practitioners when necessary
Provideafter-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients andtheir families
Ensure patient records are kept up to dateincluding test results, immunizations, condition changes,etc.

Nurse Practitioner Requirements andQualifications
Master's degree in nursing
Current state nurse practitioner license
5+ years ofnursing experience
Understands HIPAA and OSHAregulations
Able to operate as part of a team, alongsidephysicians and other nurses
Proficient in EHR medicalcharting system and computer-based data management programs andinformation systems
