You will gain specialized experience in behavioral parent training, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and school-based interventions, with encouragement to develop their own areas of interest and specialization. Furthermore, you will attend multidisciplinary case conferences, contribute to clinical meetings, present in the community, and collaborate on educational and research initiatives.The Child Mind Institute will be accepting applications for a one-year, full time, postdoctoral fellowship, in the Anxiety Disorders Center for 2026-2027. The fellowship will begin as early as July 1, 2026. Consideration will also be given to candidates who complete their pre-doctoral internship by the end of August 2026.Reporting to the Associate Clinical Director, this is a full-time and exempt position in office 4 days per week and 1 day remote. Primary Faculty: The Anxiety Disorders Center staff includes leading clinical psychologists, social workers and mental health counselors. Provide evidenced based treatment including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy adapted for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM) to children, adolescents and young adults with anxiety-related disorders, and comorbid disorders, in individual, group and family formats. Co-treat with other clinicians in one or more of our various specialized treatment programs. Provide supervision to other trainees under umbrella supervision of a licensed psychologist. Collaborate with our board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy. Participate in supervision, educational didactics, case conferences, team meetings and lecture series. You Have:Completed PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited graduate program in clinical, counseling, school-clinical, or school psychology. The doctoral degree above must be conferred approximately six weeks prior to beginning the position. Eligibility to obtain a limited permit to practice psychology in New York State by agreed upon start date.Completion of doctoral internship.
