Oncor (together with its subsidiaries) operates the largest transmission and distribution system in Texas, delivering power to nearly 4 million homes and businesses and operating more than 143,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines in Texas.The Field Construction Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of contract resources for the safe, timely and efficient construction and maintenance of electric distribution facilities and meter and service activities to meet both ONCOR Electric Delivery timelines, Terms and Conditions and Service Level Agreements. The Field Construction Coordinator acts as a liaison between ONCOR Electric Delivery and various contractor resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels are sufficient to meet construction and maintenance dates and regulatory Terms and Conditions. Resolves issues and answers questions from the field related to construction and maintenance projects, service orders and etc.This position is based out of our Everman Construction Office in Fort Worth. We are considering applicants with multiple experience levels and skills. Please see below for experience requirements for each level.Key ResponsibilitiesAdheres to company prescribed safety policiesPromote a positive image of ONCOR Electric Delivery to publicPromotes Safety in workplace for both contract and company employeesUnderstanding of contractual arrangementsAssign projects to contract crewsVerify sufficient construction resources are in place to meet requirements and/or acts to secure required resources thru proper processRequest material kits and interfaces with Material Coordinators to ensure proper materials are available to meet construction requirementsUpdate status of all construction activities on daily basis to ensure accurate recordsComplete and submit Contractor Performance Evaluations. Ensure safety compliance, adherence to ONCOR Electric Delivery standards of construction, job site restoration and construction records and information are completed by and received from contract resources. Pre-construction, during construction and post constructionParticipate in various types of construction meetings as required. Including but not limited to; Design Personnel, Power Management and Distribution System (PMDS) Managers, Vegetation Management, City Officials, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Third Party Contractors, Developers and CustomersAddress construction issues as necessary to ensure timely construction of safe and efficient distribution systemEnsure proper construction practices are followed to minimize cost of projectsVerify proper permits are obtained for construction activitiesEnsure all environmental laws and procedures are followedVerify construction practices comply with all prescribed ordinances, company policies, governmental regulations and the Electric Service GuidelinesCommunicate status of projects to interested parties as requiredProper disposition of "As-Built" informationPerforms routine "On Call" rotation and emergency restorationVerify accounting for invoices including Operations and Maintenance (O&M) -vs.-Capital and ensure proper tax status is correctly indicatedVerify accuracy of contractor invoicesEnsure On Time completion for assigned projectsCoordinate service restoration with the Distribution Operations Center (DOC) as requiredInteract with different work groups while meeting the customer's deadline and maintaining a positive working relationshipPerforms all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirementsSkillsCapacity to coordinate numerous projects over large geographic areaExcellent communication skills both written and verbalBasic computer skills with preference in Outlook, Word, Excel, and etc.Knowledge of safe work practices relating to confined space entry, trench safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulationKnowledge of underground and overhead Distribution Construction practices including but not limited to: Design, method of construction, specification and procedure and the Electric Service GuidelinesEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredField Construction Coordinator Level A1-A2 - 3 plus years of directly related work experience is encouraged to applyField Construction Coordinator Level Sr. - 5 plus years of directly related work experience is encouraged to applyMeasures of SuccessSafe completion of projectsTimely completion of assigned projects (Terms and Conditions)Accuracy of invoicing certificationAccurate documentation and timely status updates of projectsCost controlBenefitsAt Oncor, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, compensation and performance management programs designed specifically to attract, retain, motivate and reward our high-performing workforce.
