The Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT, is a 260-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.

As a Nursing Supervisor, you will work under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing. You will be responsible for upholding established nursing standards, providing direction for nursing services, and ensuring quality care at all times. This role involves collaborating with Clinical Nurse Managers to maintain a high level of care and safety for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies and nursing standards.
  • Oversee nursing activities and personnel allocation during off shifts.
  • Provide care based on individual needs and interact professionally with staff, patients, and families.
  • Communicate effectively through reports and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous education and training.
  • Attend educational programs and staff meetings.
  • Perform assigned duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of a professional nursing school, BS in nursing or related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: RN license in Connecticut, CPR certification.

Key Skills: Ability to assess and prioritize resident needs accurately, supervisory and conflict resolution skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.
