The ideal candidate will have a DVM degree, with experience in urgent care medicine, and a passion for delivering high-quality veterinary care in an emergency setting. Position Highlights: Flexible Schedule with Swing/Second Shift options. ONLY Urgent Care - no wellness services. No abdominal surgeries. Fear Free Approach and feline-friendly practice. Key Responsibilities: Provide urgent care for animals, diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. Administer medications and treatments for critical cases. Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy in medical documentation. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options. Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Qualifications: DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program). Active license to practice in Illinois (or the ability to obtain one). Experience in urgent care medicine preferred, but new graduates are welcome. Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage multiple patients and priorities effectively.
