Engineering Technician

Job Description: Pay Range: $30hr - $34hr The Manufacturing/Assembly Technician will perform precision assembly work in a manufacturing and prototyping environment. The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining accurate records, working with fragile and precise assemblies, and adhering to established policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Perform work in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions. Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation. Handle very fragile and precise assemblies with care. ssist in identifying problems and propose solutions. dhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices. Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment. Proficient in using measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, and scales. Perform effectively both as an individual contributor and within a team environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. bility to work overtime, weekends, shifts, and travel as required. bility to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods. Willingness to submit to a background investigation; government security clearance may be required. Preferred Skills: Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical disciplines. erospace or Defense industry experience. Experience with shop equipment including Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and precision measuring equipment. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices. Hard Skills (Must-Have): Minimum 6 years relevant experience with HS Diploma, or 2 years post-secondary with 2 years relevant experience. Proficient in reading engineering drawings and schematics. Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation. Work with fragile and precise assemblies. Use hand tools and specialized equipment effectively.
