A white-collar, complex business litigation trial firm is seeking a paralegal to join their growing team This role offers mentorship, growth, and a hybrid work schedule

· We want someone who enjoys being client-facing and wants to be a part of the camaraderie of the firm – no ‘camera off’ people who just click in and out (this role will interact with clients on Zoom calls and have a public face, not just back-office)
Responsibilities of Role:
o 4-6 active matters at once, defense side business litigation (emphasis of quality over quantity)
o Filings – state and federal courts, but not a ton (2-3 per week, 80% state courts, 20% federal but open to seeing those without federal filing experience)
o Timekeeping – in Clio
o Calendaring – in Google Cal (manually)
o Formatting – pleadings, TOAs/TOCs (downloading from Google Docs to format in MS Word)
o Document review – creating privilege and activity logs
o Case timelines – recording who was interviewed and when
o Legal research – occasionally citation checking
o Deposition prep –putting together binders, organizing docs, understanding what goes into a depo.
o Will train on trial prep – the goal is to go to trial
The more experience this person has, the better; they will be the only paralegal in the seat. Pay is contingent upon the duties above.
