We are seeking a Financial Director to lead the financial strategy and operations at our rapidly expanding business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management for multi-state, multi-location businesses, demonstrating expertise in navigating the complexities of commercial hubs and bank negotiations. This role calls for a strategic leader capable of building and guiding our team from the outset to drive our transition from a 7 to 8-figure revenue business. With exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills, this individual will be pivotal in steering our company through its next phase of growth, making strategic decisions that align with our ambitious objectives.

This is an In-Office Position

Requirements

  • Has 5+ years of experience in a Finance/Accounting leadership role (ex. CFO, Financial Director, Lead Controller, etc)
  • Strong Financial Operations/Controller background.
  • Experienced in overseeing the financial operations critical to growing a company's revenue from 7 to 8 figures
  • Significant experience in multi-state financial operations. Potential Industries include: Airport Concessions (highly preferred), Commercial Real Estate, Retail, F&B, Construction, Hospitality
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills, with a focus on negotiating with commercial hubs (e.g., airports, malls) and financial institutions
  • Demonstrated expertise in debt financing (including structuring, negotiating, and securing loans or credit facilities)
  • Comfortable and ready to take a hands-on approach with a lean team, starting with one direct report
  • Has experience leading and managing projects with deliverables, accountability, and a timeline
  • Quickbooks Online and related SaaS integrations
  • Comfortable working occasional overtime/weekends.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead the finance and accounting team in setting and aligning strategic financial goals with the company's growth objectives, while developing and implementing scalable financial policies and procedures
  • Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all accounting and financial reporting
  • Manage and optimize financial operations across multiple states (especially with new locations), adapting strategies to meet regional compliance and operational needs
  • Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion
  • Direct structuring, negotiating, and securing of loans or credit facilities to support business expansion, managing relationships with financial institutions to ensure favorable financing terms
  • Negotiate leases and contracts with commercial hubs, such as airports and malls, securing optimal terms for the business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and partners
  • Initially oversee a lean finance team with one direct report, guiding, training, and supporting growth, while fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement
  • Build, improve and manage execution of internal SOPs
  • Lead and manage finance-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets and specifications
  • Leverage QuickBooks Online and related SaaS integrations for efficient financial operations and reporting, continuously seeking and implementing technological advancements to enhance financial insights and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment by being willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines and support business needs
