Scope of the Position

The Manufacturing Superintendent will be responsible for plant operations on 2nd and 3rd shifts with direct supervision of off-shift supervisors. Will be responsible for meeting production standards and goals as well as accountable for safety, productivity, and efficiency metrics for the hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Direct support for manufacturing supervision
  • Supports the Manufacturing Manager in all short- and long-term goals
  • Plans and directs production activities
  • Prioritizes effective operations and cost savings
  • Ensure training is done in a safe and productive manner
  • Communicates and coordinates with all departments
  • Revises production/work schedules if necessary
  • Assume all duties and responsibilities of the acting Manufacturing Manager when needed.
  • Analyzes and improves all aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Creates and administers cross training matrix/process

Qualifications

  • Proven understanding of and experience in a manufacturing environment (Plastic Injection Molding would be ideal)
  • At least ten (10) years of progressive job responsibilities working in a manufacturing setting
  • At least three (2) years in a managerial role supervising multiple shifts
  • Strong problem-solving skills on an individual and team setting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Effective verbal and written communicator
