CT Technologist-Registered

Full Time; Monday-Friday; 11:00am-7:30pm

On Call Every 6th Weekend from 11:00am-11:00pm

Muscatine, IA.

$7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Under general supervision performs professional duties in the application of Computerized Tomography services. Demonstrates proficiency in performing all CT Exams, administering contrast media, and other related patient care services.

Responsibilities

Job Performance

  • Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures and the administration of

contrast media.

  • Correctly performs all prescribed CT procedures in an efficient manner.
  • Utilizes good judgment to plan effectively and solve problems.
  • Is cognizant of radiation safety to self and others.
  • Demonstrates competency in the storage and transfer of exams.
  • Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures and the administration of contrast media.

Patient Care

  • Provides patient education and insures correct consent forms are signed.
  • Demonstrates competence in the administration of age appropriate care.
  • Obtains and records adequate patient history and interprets physician‘s orders correctly.
  • Correctly orders, tracks and charges exams in a timely fashion.

Quality Improvement

  • Assures that equipment is in proper working order and performs all necessary quality control testing.
  • Logs in technical information, completes reports and surveys, and complies with all regulatory
  • Completes Occurrence Reports as needed.
  • Participates in hospital wide Performance.

Qualifications

Requirements

Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the licensing bodies.

Experience:

1-2 years in General Radiology

Linceses/Certifications:

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiology and CT. Holds a current license or conditional license from the State of Illinois Emergency Management Agency and/or the Iowa Department of Public Health.
