There are no positions reporting to this role.Primary duties and responsibilities include providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, greeting customers, learning customers' names, assisting customers, answering the telephone, working as a team, packaging purchases, cleaning, assisting customers in transporting purchases, training new courtesy clerks, checking prices, pulling products, bringing carts, cleaning the redemption area, stocking merchandise, maintaining supplies, adhering to personal hygiene and dress guidelines, and following company policies.Secondary duties and responsibilities include assisting in all departments, delivering products, shoveling, salting, and sanding walkways, assisting in other areas of the store, and performing other job-related duties and special projects.Knowledge, skills, abilities, and worker characteristics include the ability to carry out instructions, do simple addition and subtraction, understand and follow instructions, and have increased contact with people.Education and experience requirements are not specified.Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. The position also requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.Working conditions include exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dampness, dirt, and chemicals/solvents.Equipment used includes Tomra (bottle machines), window washing equipment, vacuum cleaner, power washer, brooms, delivery vehicle, phone, fax, copier, two wheeler, pallet jack, and box cutter.Contacts include daily contact with the general public and occasional contact with suppliers/vendors.
