Head Of Operational Excellence And Lean ManufacturingAs the Head of Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing, you will leverage your strategic thinking and business acumen to drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple plant locations. In this pivotal role, you will lead cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Your ability to influence and manage change will be essential in achieving growth objectives, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a competitive edge. You will transparently track organizational results through strategic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and operational KPIs, demonstrating your results orientation. Reporting directly to the Head of Large Generators (LGN), you will collaborate with department managers and senior leaders to ensure alignment and success.Operational Excellence Strategy: Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop and execute strategies that address challenges and meet plant goals, maintaining a project database to ensure improvements yield expected results.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, supply chain, quality, engineering, and other units to identify and implement improvement opportunities.Best Practice Sharing: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices across departments and benchmarking against industry standards.Large Generators (LGN) Lean Program Manager: Achieve certification as the Lean Program Manager, representing LGN and complete the Lean Maturity Assessment to design projects that close identified gaps.Lean Instruction Delivery: Create and deliver Lean training programs for employees at all levels, collaborating with the Training department to maintain attendance records.Process Optimization: Utilize Lean methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, leading projects to reduce operational costs.Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives with effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of Lean professionals, ensuring alignment with operational needs through regular engagement with business partners.Objectives and Key Results Deployment & KPI Tracking: Lead the deployment of OKRs reflecting LGN strategic initiatives and track KPIs for operational excellence, presenting insights to senior management.What You Bring:Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations management, or a related field (master's preferred). 10 or more years of experience in business excellence, lean manufacturing, or operational improvement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level. Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred. Proven success in leading lean transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Occasional travel will be required to different sites depending on the business needs. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
