Chemical Plant Administrative Assistant

Chemical Plant Administrative Assistant Baton Rouge, LAPSC Group is now hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant to support our in-plant supervision group and serve as the main point of contact for both PSC employees and customer contacts. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all clerical duties to include managing timesheets and communicating operational information from the field to the customer. This role will require the ability to multi-task and provide back-up assistance when needed to order supplies and PPE, as well as complete and maintain site specific documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a chemical plant clerical environment. We know that our overall success is a combined effort, and we strive to provide opportunities for our employees to learn, grow and thriveWork Schedule:Monday Friday (8-hour days)Job Duties & Responsibilities:Tracks attendance and maintains personnel training filesMaintains payroll operations, vacation, overtime, and attendance schedulesPrepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, overtime, turnover, etc.Provides information to PSC employees and customer contacts by answering questions and requestsSubmits monthly and quarterly updates to Customer and PSC's officeProvides administrative support and back-up assistance to order unit supplies as neededMakes copies, send faxes, and types memosAssists in training compliance and updates proceduresComplies with all policies on filling of medical and personal informationJob Qualifications:Must possess a valid driver's licenseProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)Good communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and meet deadlines on a consistent basisMaintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.Stable work history with good references from past employerPass a drug screen, physical, and background checkPSC is a veteran-friendly company.
