Position: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC
Duration: At least 12 month contract
Pay: TBD - depends on candidate experience
MUST HAVE:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a Quality Assurance role

We are seeking a Senior Business QA Analyst (SBA) to be engaged in the buildout, implementation, testing, and documenting of the business applications for our client. This role will have key responsibilities in the defining, leading, and executing the application test plans for the integration from the legacy systems to the new systems. Post implementation this role will continue to support, maintain, and enhance the applications working with the business and IT. The SBA will be responsible for documenting requirements, configuring, testing, and deploying bug fixes or enhancements. The business focus areas include generation operations, commercial, financial, health-safety-environmental, human resources, and legal.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaged in the buildout, implementation, testing, and documenting of the business applications. This role will have key responsibilities in the validating the accuracy of the data integration from the legacy systems to the new systems.
- Work with and support/maintain consolidation and reporting applications including but not limited to application configuration, troubleshooting of complex incidents and development of new features.
- Develop hands on knowledge of the ERP, financial consolidation, and reporting applications to investigate issues, identify root causes, recommend, and drive resolutions.
- Able to demonstrate a strong finance background and proficiency in the development, integration, and support of core finance systems and reporting services.
- Provide daily support to stakeholders on new requests or incidents related to the business applications.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with business system owners and end users to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
- Perform and review system configurations to ensure the configuration of the functional modules align with the designed business processes and perform updates as required.
- Act as the liaison between Finance, Commercial, and Operational business units, Technology teams and Vendors.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement regarding the business applications and existing or new business processes.
- Facilitate the collection of business requirements, understand, analyze and translate them into system requirements, configurations and customizations.
Competencies
- Strong knowledge of software QA process
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; able to work effectively in ambiguous or changing situations; ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Ability to identify problems and deal with situations and issues proactively.
- Demonstrate a critical and creative mindset with all new requests received from stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and affectively with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Functional experience with NetSuite, Workday, SAP Concur, OneStream, Hartigen PowerOptix, Basware would be considered an asset.
