Warehouse AssociateIn this position, you will be cross trained in multiple roles/functions within the company's Warehousing Departments and will be expected to perform intermediate to advanced functions within those areas. This role will support both the physical and systematic sides of the warehouse environment. Not only will you pick, pull, and store materials, you will be responsible for issuing materials, relieving inventory, and planning warehouse priorities based on the production schedule and inventory on hand. In addition, this role will support leadership with training and resource coordination.Your role:Help to coordinate daily warehouse priorities based on the production schedule and inventory levelsServe as a "go to" backup in the absence of Department LeadershipReceive products upon delivery, ensuring proper documentation has been completedStore received items in proper inventory location and/or deliver to appropriate team membersPull inventory according to the production schedule or as requested from the production teamMonitor and support material flow from and to the assigned area(s)Complete all computer/systemic transactions for all rework and bin transfersComplete quality inspections of incoming inventoryAssist with asset tagging and storing of Company PropertyCommunicate inventory levels to affected teams in order to maintain departmental organizationReview and update applicable reportsOversee other associates during the cycle/physical count processHelp to oversee Associates that are rotating into and out of the department in supporting rolesTrack and audit inventorySupport continuous improvement initiatives around Safety, Quality, and Productivity and lead by exampleHelp to enforce company safety policies and proceduresAssist Department Leadership with new associate training and team member skill trainingAssist Department Leadership with ensuring shift production paperwork is accurately completed, as requestedOther duties as assignedBasic qualifications:2+ years of experience in a related warehouse positionMust be able to complete all warehousing functions of the Production Associate roleAbility to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basisIntermediate computer skillsAbility to meet and maintain certification requirements to operate various types powered industrial trucks (ex. forklift, aerial lift, order picker, scissor lift, etc.)Preferred qualifications:3 5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing, engineer-to-order environment2+ years of experience operating powered industrial trucks, preferably a forkliftMust be able to perform intermediate to advanced functions with the DepartmentAt Fortune Brands, we support the overall health and wellness of our associates by offering comprehensive, competitive benefits that prioritize all aspects of wellbeing and provide flexibility for our teammates' unique needs.
