Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist for our Business Unit, Armament Systems, located in Plymouth, MN. Armament Systems specializes in the development and production of Ammunition, Guns and Precision Guidance Ordinance.Responsibilities include:Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of services, specialized materials, and/or equipmentPrepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, performs price/cost, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontractsEnsures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recordedNegotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontractsParticipates with program functional areas to coordinate subcontract funding, invoice processing and program reviews.Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-usersIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedulesIdentifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiationsManages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvementManages and develops strategic/key suppliers. Reviews and approves supplier paymentsBasic Qualifications:Must have a High school diploma or GED with at least 12 years of related experience. Will consider 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 6 years of experience with a Master's Degree.Experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, or Project ManagementMinimum of 1 year of experience with SAP or related business application softwareMinimum of 1 year of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARSAbility to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teamsAbility to multi-task and make sound decisions in a timely mannerDemonstrated strong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a very fast paced environmentAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Past experience performing successfully in a buying, supply chain planning, or supply chain program management roleKnowledge of U.S. government and industry supply chain practicesKnowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience or trainingDemonstrated experience with compliance and problem solvingMasters degree and 6+ years of supply chain, contracts, business management or related experienceNegotiating skills with contracts in excess of $10 millionRisk mitigation experienceChange Management experiencePrimary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
