A business In Miami Springs are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong tech (systems, AI, automation etc) and Excel skills to join their team on a permanent basis.


The role will report directly to an inspiring CFO who will also act as a mentor to the successful individual. The business are going through a period of technological development and change. This has created an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to implement process, enhance system procedures and make an impact across the organization.


The salary on offer is up to $85,000 per annum plus benefits including health and medical cover, bonus, 401K, generous vacation and other company specific benefits.


The key duties of the Senior Accountant will include:


  • Completion of the monthly close process including financial statement production
  • Analysis and reporting of the financial statements including designing and implementation of dashboard and other visuals
  • Identifying opportunities to drive accuracy, efficiency and clarity around financial information and seeking solutions through excel modelling (and other tools)
  • Business partnering with key stakeholders
  • Cashflow reporting and review
  • Supporting the CFO with inventory accounting
  • General ledger tasks including journal entires
  • Multiple reconciliations from bank through to balance sheet
  • Supporting the wider finance team when required


To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, applicants will need to demonstrate:


  • Strong Excel skills - V-lookup and Pivot tables as a minimum. Experience with advanced modelling such as Query, VBA, SQL etc would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience within a finance position with monthly close interaction
  • Strong communication skills
  • A desire and passion to utilize Excel and other software to drive automation and more accurate reporting
  • A bachelor's degree within finance or similar disciplin
  • The ability to commute to the office location in Miami Springs on a daily basis


This position is not a core Senior Accountant requirement. Instead the business and CFO are seeking an individual who can bring a strong level of Excel to the business and add value through process improvement. This is an opportunity to really add value and drive change where needed to enhance accuracy and efficiency across the business.
