About the Role: Are you passionate about technology and strategic sourcing? Your mission? Drive cost, quality, and service improvements while ensuring robust supplier relationships and supporting risk mitigation programs.
Key Relationships:
- Indirect: Corporate Functional Managers in IT, Finance, and Legal
- Direct Materials: Business Unit Stakeholders (Engineering and Development)
- Direct Material Supply Base: Factored Product / Brand Label suppliers with embedded technology
Your Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Collaborate with the Manager of Strategic Sourcing to craft and implement sourcing strategies for software and technology commodities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead strategic sourcing teams and influence key stakeholders to achieve business goals.
- Global Supplier Management: Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring continuous improvement in security, quality, delivery, and lead time.
- Performance Tracking: Report on key performance indicators such as savings, quality, delivery, and market trends.
- Cost Reduction: Identify and implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities.
- Inclusive Culture: Foster a culture where everyone can do their best work through inclusion, engagement, and retention.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in direct material or strategic sourcing in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), data architecture and management applications (Excel, PowerPoint), and project management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven conflict resolution, strategy development, and project management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of commodities, especially electronics and brand label products.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
Temperament and Traits:
- Strong team leader with the ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- High energy and enthusiasm for driving productivity and innovation.
- Well-rounded knowledge in supply chain, materials planning, and logistics.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and embrace a culture of inclusion.
Role Requirements:
- Manage an annual spend of up to $75 million.
- Ability to understand basic engineering concepts and software security practices.
- Capable of managing multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, both internationally and domestically.
