Purpose:
This position exists to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment on the second shift. The technician will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, support new machine setups and modifications, and maintain production standards to ensure high-quality output and minimal downtime.
Essential Functions:
- Build, assemble, set up, and modify new machinery.
- Support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to continuously reduce unscheduled downtime.
- Analyze and interpret technical information to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and batching support equipment.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and validate repairs.
- Follow all company safety policies, including safety rules, procedures, Lock-out/Tag-out procedures, GMPs, personal safety standards, and OSHA standards.
- Troubleshoot and develop sustainable solutions for equipment and plant electrical/mechanical systems.
- Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Identify required parts, maintain inventories, and manage parts reorder lists.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 5+ years of technical maintenance experience.
- Production supervisory experience a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in liquid manufacturing.
Necessary Skills & Abilities:
- Basic computer skills to process work orders.
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and install bearings, seals and gaskets, compressed air systems, and basic plumbing/piping.
- Align gearboxes, sprockets/chains, belts, clutches, bearings, brakes, conveyors, and belting.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, drill presses, and shop tools.
- Use basic measuring tools for mechanical repair (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Identify and correctly disposition chemicals and lubricants in mechanical PM and repair.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, procedure manuals, and instructions in various formats.
- Work from drawings, schematics, sketches, and verbal communication.
- Work independently and in a team environment on assigned projects/tasks and report to supervision as needed.
- Ability to work shift schedules plus overtime as dictated by business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrate practical problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
Work Requirements:
- This position may require sitting, standing, or working in front of a computer monitor approximately 10% of the day.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must comply with all safety procedures and protocols.
- This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).

- Regular attendance is required. Monday through Thursday; 3:00PM – 1:00AM.
