Seeking Anatomic Pathology (AP) Laboratory Supervisor to supervise and work with anatomical pathology laboratory personnel engaged in the routine, technical, and nontechnical laboratory functions; also responsible for providing leadership, creating a team-oriented environment, overseeing daily technical operations, hiring responsibilities and facilitate training new employees in the laboratory.


You Will:

  • Supervise laboratory professionals & monitor department staff levels and scheduling
  • Oversee the day-to-day laboratory workflow
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Carryout discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Establish and monitor laboratory goals and objectives
  • Monitor laboratory quality assurance programs
  • Monitor department level budget and contribute to budgetary planning
  • Facilitate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff
  • Perform duties of regular position, e.g., pathology assistant, cytotechnologist, histotechnologist, and/or histotechnologist
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Science Degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science or equivalent, or Master’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, business administration, or equivalent, preferred
  • ASCP or NCA certification in Medical Technology
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in the anatomical laboratory, prefer expereince in Histology or Cytology
  • Possess leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement programs, processes, and tools
  • Prior experience validating and implementing new tests and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Self-directed, open to new learning experiences and demonstrate teamwork
  • Ability to coordinate multiple resources effectively to accomplish a task or accept an idea through leadership
