Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Bright Horizons Psychiatry in Rockville, MD. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing mental health evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, and offering therapy in a compassionate and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in psychiatric nursing
- At least 2 years of outpatient psychiatric care, as a nurse practitioner, is required for this role
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland
- Strong understanding of psychiatric medications, treatments, and best practices in mental healthcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Experience in conducting psychiatric assessments and developing treatment plans
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of psychiatry
