Looking for a Family Law attorney on a part-time contractual basis. The candidate has experience with complicated family law issues, including division of property, custody, and support issues.


Candidates should have experience with preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a plus.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on issues such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, paternity, and domestic violence
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation sessions, negotiations, and settlement conferences
  • Conduct legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing legal briefs and arguments
  • Develop case strategies and advocating for clients' rights and interests
  • Work with clients to assess their needs and goals and advise on potential outcomes and risks
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as mediators, mental health professionals, and financial advisors, to provide comprehensive support to clients
  • Maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards and professional code of conduct


Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Attorney eligible to practice law in the state of California
  • 3+ years of experience practicing family law 
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks independently
  • Good judgment and strong analytical abilities
  • Client counseling and negotiation skills


Work Environment: 

  • Remote work- anywhere with in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Local travel may be required (court hearings if needed)
