About the Position

Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is seeking to hire two experienced finance and operations officers to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budget to actuals reporting and analysis, and assist with federal regulatory compliance. Both positions report to the Director of Finance and Administration and support the organization to manage cash flow, process grant draw downs, draft budgets, approve payments via wire and other payment systems, review and approve travel authorizations, vendor service agreements, expense, and other reports, and assist with the organization’s annual audit. As members of the Finance Team, both positions also coordinate with staff in other departments at headquarters and across the globe to effectively execute financial operations in compliance with SCG financial policies and applicable U.S. Government regulations.


Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:


  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant, progressive experience managing budgets (developing yearly budgets, projecting expenses, and actively managing the cost estimates for an organization) and executing procurement actions, processing banking operations, interacting with vendors, and/or supporting audits.
  • Working knowledge of 2CFR200 and other federal regulations applying to non-profit grant recipients or non-profit accounting experience highly preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive financial and human resources matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with many different stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills to work flexibly and collaboratively to support Strategic Capacity Group’s continued growth. Hybrid work schedule.
