Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join our team.
  • As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and repairing various types of tools and equipment used in manufacturing processes.
  • This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in welding, CAD, GD&T, assembly, programming, and precision measuring instruments.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and build tools and fixtures according to engineering specifications
  • Repair and maintain existing tools to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to understand tooling requirements
  • Operate CNC machines to fabricate tooling components
  • Use CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of tool designs
  • Program CAM software for CNC machining operations
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to guide tool fabrication
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure tools meet specifications.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Tool Maker or similar role
  • Proficiency in welding techniques for tool fabrication and repair
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software for tool design
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles for accurate tooling specifications
  • Ability to assemble complex tools and fixtures with precision
  • Experience in programming CAM software for CNC machining operations
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
