We are looking for a Production Planner to join our Operations Team here in Farmington Hills, MI. Our Production Planner is a key member of our team, ensuring a quality start to our production orders.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Initiate new tool jobs utilizing internal system, ensuring all job start packet information is verified and material is available for production.
  • Initiate re-sharp tool jobs sent by customer for resharpening; including quantity confirmation verification of customer order, confirm purchase order, issue to production.
  • Collaborate on flow management (FMT) with engineering and plant management to ensure proper quantity of WIP in work zones, including end of year audit for inventory status.
  • Manage job status including updating past due and assisting customers with updates.
  • Review route and BOMs to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage Cutting Tool inventory by ensuring value, location, and quantity meets organizational needs.
  • Review and manage coating log to ensure schedule adherence.


What we ask you to bring:

  • Minimum of two years manufacturing experience required.
  • Production planning / scheduling experience preferred.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software, order processing systems, spreadsheets, quality and work processing
