Our client is a large real estate owner/operator that needs an experienced Construction Project Manager that has excellent client service and able to deliver projects on time and within budget


Job Description –With strong project and vendor management skills and excellent attention to detail, the Construction Project Manager will partner with Asset Managers and Property Managers to manage all phases of capital improvement projects, establishing project scope, budgets, schedules and management of deadlines. While managing the smooth completion of projects, Construction Project Manager must ensure compliance and certification with company and county safety requirements and codes. The Construction Project Manager possesses excellent coordination and communication skills while working with vendors and internal team members to ensure the timely implementation of projects. Additional responsibilities for the Construction Project Manager include the following:


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that a rigorous selection process and contracting procedure is utilized in the selection of all design professionals, consultants and contractors, and maintain a thorough understanding of contract language
  • Coordinate efforts of all individuals involved in project completion including, but not limited to, attorneys, architects, engineers, general contractors and municipal officials
  • Conduct regular field inspections tracking progress of projects and generating status reports
  • Actively manage and coordinate project meetings
  • Ensure compliance with company site safety requirements
  • Ensure maintenance of complete project files, including project meeting minutes, contracts and related correspondence. Review and approve vendor requisitions and invoices.
  • Participate in the due diligence process for new acquisitions. Work with property and asset managers on the development of the scope, budget and schedule for annual and 5-year Capital Budgets

Requirements

  • 5 years of related Project Management experience working with multiple sites.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to complete projects timely and with high quality – we need a Construction Project Manager with excellent follow through
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize as necessary and leverage resources throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required and related work experience preferred.
