Warehouse Team LeadSummary:The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the warehouse, including the material handling, shipping, receiving, and truck freight departments. A successful candidate will be able to be flexible in performing a variety of tasks, including flexing employees to meet business demands, coaching and mentoring, developing and providing adequate training, and ensure that the productivity, accuracy and efficiency metrics of the warehouse are met.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Adjust personnel to maintain production level requirements, such as picking of orders or unloading and inspecting of all inbound goods.Maintain clear and concise communication between the warehouse employees, upper-level management and cross-functional departments.Learn key aspects of Warehouse Manager job to provide backfill in the event of absence and/or vacation.Ensure each employee adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and understands their importance.Facilitates dialogue between Team Lead(s) and employees to hear, understand and implement process improvements.Inspire team members to prioritize tasks, work independently and maintain a safe, efficient work area.Coach, mentor, inspire, motivate and discipline employees, as needed.Support warehouse department and fill in with day-to-day activities as needed.Maintain the run sheet for all transfer orders sent to other stores.Qualifications:2-5 years of warehouse related experienceHigh school diploma or GEDFamiliarity with ERP or WMS softwareProficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications (ex. Excel, Word, Outlook)Must have demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, train and encourage othersStrong leadership, organizational and communication skillsAbility to remain results-focused in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesGeneral Physical Requirements:Light to moderate work -- required to exert up to 30 lbs. of force regularly, up to 40 lbs. of force occasionallyWorking Conditions: this position is subject to an inside working environment and will be exposed to:noise - loud, sharp, extended, impulse; up to, and occasionally more than, 85dBA (which may require the use of hearing protection), vibration - directed to hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders from the use of electric and pneumatic (impact) hand tools of varying sizes,Hazards -- electric current; oils and lubricants; moving mechanical parts; chemical cleaners and solvents; sharp edges on stainless steel and other components and metal shavings. Airborne dust, occasional intense light from welding in work area or adjacent work areas; working on ladders, and scaffolds.Physical Activities & Ergonomic Considerations: this position may be exposed to:standing, walking for majority of work shift,reaching in any direction, above and below shoulder level,lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing objects weighing up to 40 lbs.performing work in a crouched, squatting, kneeling, or stooped position (body bent forward and down (from waist) for extended periods of time, crawling under trucks and truck chassis and performing precision work while laying prone or crouched with arms raised upwards, for extended periods, repetitive grasping, pinching with fingers; repetitive pulling, pushin
