Finance Associate

Arsenal Resources is seeking a full-time Finance Associate with an emphasis in corporate financial modeling. This role is hybrid in-office ideally located in Pittsburgh or West Virginia, but remote will also be considered. The candidate will support the Director of Finance with many of the department’s core objectives, including excel modeling, corporate forecasting, M&A analysis, and investor relations.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and prepare corporate forecast within the financial model; work with operations, land, reservoir engineering and accounting departments to maintain accurate and updated assumptions and forecast
• Enhance corporate model to include latest contracts, development schedules and other sensitivities
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and assist in preparation and maintenance of other financial reporting requirements
• Build financial models to analyze and value potential investments and transactions
• Prepare materials for corporate presentations, Lender meetings and Board of Director meetings
• Support treasury and credit functions through cash forecasting, borrowing, and investments
• Assist and participate in all third-party financing discussions, including bank meetings and additional private equity placements
• Perform due diligence of acquisition opportunities and conduct market research, competitive intelligence analysis and benchmark performance
• Participate in ad hoc / special projects / report development / financial sensitivities
• Other duties as necessary

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
• 2+ years of related work experience; preferably with consulting / investment banking experience
• Advanced in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
• Oil & Gas / Energy Industry experience a plus
• Proven ability to create and use sophisticated financial models
• Ability to distill complex analytical issues into simple to understand analysis for management decision making
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated and a self-starter with excellent time management skills
• High degree of independent judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work hours needed to meet deadlines
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting and financial statements
