Production Estimator

Description

Flexible packaging company located in Rockwall, Texas is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Production Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately creating master items, production estimates and work orders by working directly under the supervision of the Estimating and Planning Manager and will be in direct contact with both Sales and Production departments.

Specific duties include:

• Use of ERP software to create and modify production jobs.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to accurately gather all the information needed to create new Items.
• Create Production Estimates that will be used for sales pricing.
• Partner with plant supervisors for effective job and work order creation to analyze production capabilities and calculate correct production rates, weights and sizes that affects each individual process.
• Attention to details to achieve minimal data and calculation errors in the most effective manner.
• Review work orders for accuracy.
• Manage work order process and distribution.

Qualifications:

• Four-year BS or BA degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or materials management.
• Familiar with essential concepts and strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier planning, material requirements planning, capacity requirements, planning, sales, and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, supplier relationships, quality control and continuous improvement.
• Positive and energetic individual that can work well with all levels of an organization; must be able to get along well with others.
• Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• Ability to work effectively and lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Microsoft Office applications – MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Knowledge/use of ERP systems
