Job Description - Asylum Seeker Legal Aide/Outreach Coordinator - Interfaith-RISE - Reformed Church of Highland Park Affordable Housing Corporation (RCHP-AHC) Position Description: The Asylum Seeker Legal Aide/Outreach Coordinator is responsible for identifying and connecting eligible immigrant and refugee families to Interfaith-RISE services. This role focuses on building strong relationships with immigration attorneys, faith communities, ethnic and national organizations, consulates, and other community partners to ensure newly arrived individuals are informed of available support. The position also provides direct client services, both at large legal clinics and one-on-one in satellite offices, to assist refugees and new immigrants with work authorization. This role is based in our Vineland office and requires frequent travel within a 50-mile radius. Responsibilities: • Build and maintain partnerships with immigration attorneys, faith-based organizations, community leaders, consulates, and cultural associations. • Proactively identify families and individuals eligible for Interfaith-RISE services. • Conduct outreach presentations and attend community events to increase awareness of available programs. • Develop and distribute outreach materials tailored to immigrant and refugee communities. • Maintain a referral pipeline of potential clients and connect them to the intake team. • Track outreach activities, relationships, and referrals for reporting purposes. • Collaborate with program staff to strengthen referral systems and improve accessibility of services. • Represent Interfaith-RISE at community meetings and statewide networking events. • Provide EAD application support to qualified clients at large scale legal clinics and at IRISE offices. • Assist clients with questions, eligibility requirements, applications, fee waivers, and financial assistance related to EAD applications. • Maintain case files and other data management tools/software. • Correspond with clients to ensure timely receipt of case documents and other materials. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, international relations, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience in outreach, community engagement, or partnership building. • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to engage diverse communities. • Ability to work independently, manage relationships, and follow through on commitments. • Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills. • Familiarity with immigrant and refugee populations and the challenges they face. • Willingness to travel frequently across New Jersey.
