Psych RN (Accepting New Grads) - Battle Creek, MI Schedule: Night shift 7 pm - 7:30 am (includes some weekends) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. This role provides critical support in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment while delivering high-quality medical care to clients. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assist direct care staff, and ensure effective coordination of healthcare services. Key Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans. • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, medication administration, and care provided. • Coordinate pharmacy and laboratory orders, ensuring timely refills and delivery. • Monitor and secure controlled medications per policy. • Provide education to residents and families regarding medications and treatment plans. • Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure continuity of care. • Maintain infection control standards within the facility. • Foster a therapeutic environment and provide individualized counseling as needed. Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. • Active RN license in Michigan. • BLS/CPR certification. • Valid driver's license. • 1+ years of RN experience (psychiatric nursing experience strongly desired).
